"It's an honour. I fell into this completely accidentally having never wanted a dog, had a dog, being scared of dogs, but it's a gift to be able to see them through their training to becoming fully trained guide dogs." - Lisa, Guide Dogs Fosterer 🐶 Lisa's husband always wanted a dog, but she wasn't so sure, scared of them even. However, after her husband passed away, Lisa decided to take the plunge and volunteer as a Fosterer for Guide Dogs. Now, she's cared for 10 dogs in training and says the experience has completely changed her life. 💛 As a Fosterer, Lisa provides a loving home for dogs in training when they're not at our Redbridge centre, helping them on their journey to becoming life-changing guide dogs.
