#VieiradaSilva🔸🔹 As a young girl, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva got lost in a labyrinth. The experience had a profound impact on her life and the labyrinth became a recurring symbol in her art. In “Dedalus” (1975) the labyrinth becomes a visual and existential metaphor: intertwining lines and routes evoke disorientation, investigation, and the complex nature of memory and time. It is an ecouragement to lose oneself, or perhaps to find oneself, in pictorial space.   #PeggyGuggenheimCollection   🎨Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, “Dedalo (Dédale)” (1975). Ginevra, Fondation Gandur pour l’art
