Another year done. So much happened — and yet, what have I truly understood? If we don’t make space to reflect, we risk missing the very lessons that would move us forward. The walk was just the beginning. Last Friday, I joined a group of people for the yearly Retro walk of Moving Mountains. Outdoors. In motion. In conversation. And something really meaningful happened: When I paused and took time to reflect on the year — and then shared those thoughts with someone else — I went deeper than I ever would on my own. Especially when I spoke my “wildest dream for 2026” out loud, it became more real. It was witnessed. Encouraged. Not just an idea anymore, but a step closer to a direction I now feel in my body. These were the questions that guided our walk through snow and sun: - What made this year meaningful for me? What do I take with me? What am I grateful for? - What worked well in my team? What challenged us? - Where did energy flow this year? Where do I feel lightness — or heaviness? - What is my boldest vision for 2026 — if I were to fully follow my heart? No whiteboards. No PowerPoints. Just footsteps, fresh air, and honest exchange. If there’s one thing I’m taking with me: Leadership — and in fact, life — doesn’t always need a plan. But it does need space. Space to reflect. To feel. To be witnessed. My question to you: 👉 When was the last time you reflected — and shared that reflection or plan or vision? Not as a plan, but as a deep desire. Thank you Juli Stratmann for guiding us and thank you Steven Strehl, Dr. Gaby Wiegran, Verena Wiget Dr. Julia Bayer, Elisa-Christin M.; Elena Ziegler and all the others for spending the day in the mountains and on this walk together.
