To mark International Children's Day on 1 June last week, our talented Vocalis, consisting of students from both the German and English Secondary departments, took to the screen for Guangdong Radio and Television's Mandarin Kids Channel (TVS 5). They were specially invited to perform for their "61 Children's Day Programme"! Filmed at our Peak Campus, the group performed a stunning original song composed by our very own Year 12 student, Samantha. Her lyrics beautifully explore themes of nature, harmony and awakening, perfectly capturing the spirit of the celebration. At the end of the video, our Principal, Ms Alexandra Freigang‑Krause, spoke about the importance of trusting young people's vision and giving them the courage to create. She closed by wishing everyone a Happy Children's Day. A huge congratulations to every member of Vocalis for their remarkable musical talent and for representing GSIS on a nationwide stage. 🌟 The Vocalis will be performing at our Summer Concert alongside other talented student musicians tonight.
