Powering the Next Chapter of Korea’s Energy Transition: GS E&C × I Squared Capital ⚡ GS E&C has signed an MOU with I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure investment firm, to establish a joint venture for renewable energy projects in Korea. The planned partnership will focus on solar power and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with the goal of developing and securing approximately 1.5GW of energy transition assets by 2035, including around 820MW of solar power assets. ☀️🔋 This marks an important step in expanding GS E&C’s role beyond EPC execution toward a developer-led business model. GS E&C will take part in key development activities, including project sourcing, site acquisition, permitting, early-stage structuring, project management, and technical advisory. 🏗️ I Squared Capital will contribute its global infrastructure investment expertise, particularly in investment structuring and financing strategy.
