Grundfos participated in the Energy Efficiency Workshop hosted by Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) in collaboration with The World Bank Group, bringing together Water Service Providers from 19 counties selected to be under the Kenya Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (K-WASH) program. In addition to participating in panel discussions regarding strategies that utilities can implement to enhance energy utilization, Grundfos representative, Hillary Towett also presented an Alternative Financing Model, a value proposition to Utilities to upgrade pumping systems operations, save on power bills and use the savings made to payback the investment on upgrades. He highlighted that such initiatives would enable Utilities run sustainably as well as go along way in providing Water access to the underserved. Participants were guided through practical approaches to structuring and financing energy efficiency projects, including accessible funding pathways and performance-based contracting models. This was anchored on a shared recognition that improving energy efficiency is fundamental to strengthening operational performance, lowering production costs, and safeguarding the long-term financial sustainability of Water Service Providers. #EnergyEfficiency
