At Groupon, some of our best ideas start as a dare. A few weeks ago, our Chicago team ran an internal contest: who could design the boldest, most gloriously over-the-top July 4th campaign? What followed was the kind of thing that makes this team special: people from across the org jumping in to riff, build, and one-up each other (yes, there were a LOT of bald eagles). Two ideas rose to the top. Rebecca Farrell dreamed up a quirky July 4th deal with a Groupon bucks giveaway, and Andrew Grote pitched a social celebration of the historical moments Groupon has "definitely" been part of over the years. We loved them both, so we're running both. This is what culture looks like in practice: a team choosing to show up for each other, have a little fun, and build something none of us could have made alone. 🎆 Explore our Freedom to Do More Pass for yourself, first comment has the link. #TeamGroupon
