Is Electric Aviation being assessed too broadly ? The Danish Council on Climate Change has published a major new analysis of aviation’s climate impact. Our new article examines one specific part: Its assessment of Battery-Electric Aviation. Certified electric aircraft already fly today, regional aircraft are under development, and larger concepts are challenging assumptions about future range and capacity. Battery-electric, hybrid-electric and hydrogen aircraft are not one technology. They should be assessed by aircraft, mission and evidence - not placed in one broad category.
