GRK2937 has just returned from its annual Retreat. This year, we spent three cheerful days at the lovely little castle of Herborn, welcoming editor-in-chief Dr. Kerstin Brachhold who dove deep into the dos and don'ts of good scientific writing and also had our PhDs practice a lot. Several PhD Lectures and PI Presentations were on the agenda as well, and both a hardcore microbiological quiz and VR equipment demanded full physical exertion - a welcome change when sitting all day. Btw, the green but silent alien visiting us on Halloween came in peace and obviously had no abduction business, as no PhD or PI was reported missing on the final day of our Retreat.
