Grifols participated in the inaugural Catalonia–North Carolina Life Sciences Exchange held in Research Triangle Park (NC) organized by the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina and Catalonia Trade & Investment. The event brought together companies, institutions, and innovation leaders to strengthen collaboration and explore new partnerships across biotech, digital health, and medtech. Participants highlighted the strengths of both ecosystems and identified opportunities for business development. Representatives from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and Biocat along with a panel featuring local companies (Grifols and IQVIA) emphasized complementary capabilities, Catalonia’s leadership in clinical trials and biopharma innovation alongside North Carolina’s strengths in biotechnology, clinical research, and commercialization.
