From theory to experiencing the Supreme Court of Queensland— our final trimester criminology and criminal justice students took learning to the next level with a real-world deep dive into Queensland’s criminal justice system. A morning session with a Supreme Court judge brought theory to life, unpacking criminal law interpretation and decision-making through real cases. Then, students witnessed sentencing proceedings and a live trial, seeing firsthand how legal concepts play out in court. An unforgettable experience that tied together months of study with the reality of justice in action and inspiring their future studies.
