New Linkedin Trend Debate. Let's talk about very Open Criticism. Being openly critical of others in a post. I've said for a long time... Every business needs a common enemy. But there's a new trend on LinkedIn that I'm not sure I understand. People openly criticising others to get attention. In posts. Comments, a little different, we all enjoy a chat. Not a debate. Not disagreement. But very open "Criticism" for their own benefit. My question is simple: Is it right to shame someone publicly for your own benefit? For likes. For engagement. For reach. I criticise guru culture openly. But I don't call out individuals by name in public or in a post. Why? 1. Most Guru's don't even manage their own accounts. They'll never see it. Not worth the hassle. 2. I think it's bad etiquette. 3. Life is better lived with a positive outlook. But maybe most importantly.... Your potential clients are watching. Judgement. They notice how you treat people who aren't in the room. Respect? Some battles are worth fighting. But they're rarely won in a LinkedIn post. Thoughts? I'm still making my own mind up...
