I saw this yesterday from the Swedish Police. Maybe someone should have thought a little longer before posting it? You can spend millions telling the world you’re safe, progressive and one of the happiest places on Earth. Or you can post a list that reads like the cast of a Nordic crime drama. Murder. Violence. Addiction. Suicide. Domestic abuse. Emergency priests. And publish it on LinkedIn. Because when you’re being attacked, mugged or having a full-scale life crisis, the obvious first port of call is LinkedIn. First of all, the intention is good. Nobody is questioning the importance of support services. The intended story was obviously meant to say“We’re here to help.” But what it’s saying is “We’re expecting all of this to happen.”Secondly, maybe someone should have said, at some point, is this good for Sweden’s image? Maybe the final number on the list should be: ‘For communications emergencies, press 1.
