Heading to Singapore tomorrow with the Canada–Singapore AI+Quantum Collaboration Mission, May 18–22. It's a continuation, not a kickoff. Last October at the #ABAC #APEC meetings in Busan, Lisa Lambert from Quantum Industry Canada and I delivered a quantum workshop for our ABAC colleagues across 21 economies. What came out of it surfaced something specific. Canada and Singapore are two of the few middle-power quantum economies that have actually committed at scale: national strategies in the same funding ballpark, similar bets on talent, open ecosystems, trusted international partnership. What we don't yet have, on either side, is enough sustained operational connection between the two ecosystems. This week is partly about closing that gap. The mission, hosted by SGTech and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, anchors around Asia Tech x Singapore, with the invitation-only Canada–Singapore AI+Quantum Roundtable on Tuesday. Bilateral focus areas: cybersecurity, defence, maritime logistics, and health and life sciences. The quantum thread runs through all of them. Open Quantum Design is going in this conversation as exactly what we're built to be: a Canadian #open layer international partners can choose to build on. Looking forward to connecting some old friends! More from the road. Jenny Hogan Leong Chuan Kwek Chune Yang L. Keok Tong Ling Lisa Lambert Jan De Silva #CanadaSingapore #QuantumComputing #ABAC
