The Grapevine column in Commercial Mortgage Alert is the who’s who of big names moving around the #CRE #finance industry. Recent names to appear include: Barclays hiring longtime Morgan Stanley executive director Gary Curwin as head of large-loan originations for its U.S. CMBS group. He doesn’t start until mid-July (not that we wait that long to tell you). Curwin reports to commercial real estate chief Shaishav Agarwal. Scotiabank boosting its CMBS and warehouse-lending teams with three hires: managing director Sundeep Sahni from Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., director Caliang Vi from Barclays, and David Kung, CFA, who joined from BNP Paribas. Kayne Anderson Real Estate bringing aboard Anthony Santoro as MD/head of real estate debt asset management. He reports to head of real estate debt Lee Levy. Santoro was most recently at Goldman Sachs’ urban investment group. Managing director Alfred Trivilino leaving Tannenbaum Capital Group Capital for Naftali Credit Partners. His business card reads executive vice president and head of investments (and he reports to CEO Glenn Grimaldi.) Trivilino has had some big-time shops on his resume, including La Caisse (Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec) and Related Companies. Michael Merlini joining Ares Management’s real estate team in New York as a principal focusing on debt capital markets. He's under managing director and former Morgan Stanley colleague Ridgely Chew. Northmarq installed Ruby Bond as a senior asset manager focusing on multifamily loans. She reports to asset-management team leader Gavin Fig. Bond’s CV includes time at Berkadia, Greystone and Fannie Mae. All the details here: https://lnkd.in/e73a77EA
