After years in the making, Greenpeace USA’s new documentary GASLIT featuring Academy Award-winning actor and activist Jane Fonda is coming to select theaters this month! In GASLIT, Jane Fonda takes you on a journey from the oil fields of West Texas’ Permian Basin to the Gulf Coast of Louisiana to meet the people who are resisting one of the most aggressive oil and gas extraction expansions in history. These are the stories of the shrimpers, cattle ranchers, former oil workers, families, members of faith communities, community organizers, self-described “reluctant activists”, and people across political and cultural spectrums who have come together in defense of the communities and coastlines they love. After appearing in film festivals throughout the past few months — including being named Best Documentary at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival — GASLIT’s first theatrical screening will kick off this Friday, June 12th in New York City, with a post-screening Q&A moderated by actor Alec Baldwin and featuring Jane Fonda, Director Katie Camosy, and other special guests. Watch and share the new GASLIT trailer and join us at an upcoming screening near you! Get your tickets before they sell out: https://lnkd.in/ezbQhjuA
