We're back (as we do every Monday) for our #TrailGuides series w/ #28 on London’s Eastside and a jaunt w/ DICE’s Chief Rev Officer, Russ Tannen. J/G and Russ connected in 2014 not long after DICE had launched, on a visit to Austria to pitch ticketing services to Red Bull’s music efforts, and quickly realized, we’d probably be a good mutual hang. He came from artist management, looking after bands like Peace and superfood - following the glory days helping VICE Media build tradition at their "Old Blue Last" pub turned venue in Shoreditch - a classic london hang (think Shakespeare old), retrofitted for the modern indie rager. But the work that he and Phil have developed since 2013 as an artist-centric, globally-scaled ticketing platform with ZERO PIRACY at DICE is incredible and a fitting space for him to continue to put his mark on global music. This exercise was a naturally intensive joyride for he and J/G, into musical outliers, akin to an off path exploration amongst exposed roots and fallen trees.
