April was another busy month for GreenAnt. Our CEO, Mario Edoardo Simmaco, represented GreenAnt at the Asia-Pacific Meeting of the Weather Risk Management Association (WRMA) Management Association in Singapore, presenting the concept of anticipatory flood insurance and the role of satellite intelligence and AI in climate risk assessment and weather derivatives markets. The WRMA brings together leading voices in weather risk across financial and insurance markets, and it was a valuable opportunity to share how GreenAnt approaches climate risk analysis and mitigation in the region. Mario also delivered a speech at the The Hague Humanity Hub, speaking on a panel alongside One Acre Fund and Space4Good, where GreenAnt's work on anticipatory action and early warning systems found a natural audience among humanitarian and climate resilience practitioners. The month wrapped up with client meetings in Bangkok, where GreenAnt engaged with World Food Programme, Mae Fah Luang University Foundation (DoiTung), FAO, the The World Bank Group Treasury (IBRD•IDA•IFC), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to explore collaborations around climate resilience, risk monitoring, and anticipatory action programs across Southeast Asia. April also brought some welcome news: GreenAnt was named a Startup to Watch in Gamechangers 2026: Climate Risk by the Institute for Risk Management and Insurance Innovation, alongside leading insurtechs and climate risk companies from around the world. Looking ahead: GreenAnt will continue expanding its partnerships across humanitarian, agricultural, and insurance sectors while advancing Desidera’s capabilities for climate intelligence, flood monitoring, and anticipatory action.
