The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) For the first time in history, #Oman has formally submitted a #DraftResolution on the “ Strengthening International Cooperation on the environmentally sound management of minerals and metals and reuse of mine tailings” at the 7th United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7), a pivotal step toward circular mineral recovery and responsible resource stewardship. Green Tech Mining & Services LLC with strong support from our parent company BPG Alternative Minerals Reserves AG, is honoured to take a leading role in this initiative supporting the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and the Environmental Authority (EA) Oman, reflecting a united national effort to advance global environmental governance. The Seventh Session of the Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR-7) began earlier this week and will continue until 12 December. As delegates roll up their sleeves to navigate a dense agenda of resolutions, negotiations intensify , underscoring both the pressure and the urgency for collective action. Oman’s proposal is more than a resolution; it reflects vision, innovation, and leadership , demonstrating how nations can transform legacy mine waste into opportunity for people and planet. Proud to see Oman shaping the global dialogue on sustainable mining, circular economy, and responsible resource recovery. #UNEA7 #OmanLeadership #CircularEconomy #TailingsToResources #SustainableMining #EnvironmentalDiplomacy #ResourceRecovery #GreenTechMining
