A few weeks ago, the Minnesota Community Energy Network, co-facilitated by GPI, held its fourth annual in-person meeting at the Ramsey County Environmental Learning Center. Over 40 network members gathered to learn from one another, connect with old and new friends, and share their successes from the past year. Here are some highlights of the meeting: 🌿Discussing the current state of climate initiatives in Minnesota and identifying ways communities can make progress despite existing challenges. 💬Exploring topics such as climate and comprehensive planning, building decarbonization, utility engagement, and unique community outreach strategies through small group discussions. 🎉Celebrating participants’ accomplishments in 2025. Thank you to our Ramsey County partners for hosting us, our Community Energy Network members for their dedication to supporting their communities, and McKnight Foundation for supporting the network. The network, facilitated by GPI and Clean Energy Resource Teams, brings together local government staff working on clean energy in Minnesota to advance action in communities across the state. #CleanEnergy #ClimateAction #LocalGovernment
