#20yearago – taking you back to the 2000s when the Palmerston North-based Tranz Rail Rescue Helicopter undertook over 463 potentially life-saving missions. In September 2000, a then 12-year-old Jessica Mulcahy was airlifted to Wellington Hospital for emergency neurosurgery, onboard a flight nurse, doctor, and in the piloting seat Guy Beange.
