Not for one moment would I ever claim to be anywhere near approaching an expert on Reredos ecclesiastical furnishings. All I can say is what I see with my own eyes as someone who knows a lot about little, but has always striven to learn a little bit about a lot:) As such the rendition of The Adoration of the Magi in St Andrew’s Church in Sunderland comes across as a wonderfully visual interpretation of Edward Burne-Jones’ work. Captured here as a 300mb quadruple-blended composite. When you are faced with a scene illuminated by 3x different light temperature sources, plus daylight, then an accurate colour match is a moot point. I’ve edited it as best I can. I just hope that the custodians of St Andrew’s approve :) Catherine Mair ACIM
