I never thought I would be able to say this, but I’m going to Cornell! I’ve officially been accepted as an exchange student at Cornell University for the next academic year, and this August I’ll be moving to Ithaca to study in the College of Arts & Sciences. I am so excited to spend the year taking courses across Environmental Humanities. One of the things I’m most excited about is how much freedom there is to explore different subjects. From geology to horticulture, art and ornithology, I honestly cannot wait. On a personal note, this year has been one of the most difficult years of my life, but also one of the most rewarding. I’ve been stretched in so many ways, but I’ve also been involved in projects and opportunities that have reminded me why I care so much about research, social justice and the environment. To now be able to say that I’m going to an Ivy League university feels completely surreal. I’m so grateful for all the support I've received. And I'm so very ready for this next chapter!
