Where does resilience actually come from? This session at#GRMF2026 WA challenged a few assumptions. Nic Pollock (Greenbase) and Fraser Eynon brought a systems thinking lens to resilience, shifting the focus away from big, visible events to what happens beneath the surface every day. The conversation centred on the idea that resilience is built, or eroded, through small, repeated behaviours. The “hidden factory” of workarounds, the way risk culture shows up in people, and how information flows through an organisation all play a role in shaping outcomes over time. There was also a strong connection made between data and decision-making. Not just collecting more information, but building the kind of organisational intelligence that allows leaders to anticipate, adapt and act with confidence. The takeaway felt simple but important. Resilience is not a response. It is a system. A thoughtful session that encouraged a deeper look at how organisations really operate. #GRMF #GRMF2026 #AnotherGoodDecision
