"The building where my parents live and where Kuzma and I grew up is located near the Mexican bar (...) Heavy door of the parental home (ground floor, then right) - Josif opens it for me. “So, where have you been so far?” he says nervously. “Are you hungry?” I ask him, as I say hello to the people without whom my presence in this Game would be impossible. "Only to me God has given sons who are not able to come on time even for lunch," complains Josif. I inform him that Kuzma will not come, that he had to travel. ... My mother had prepared a table for lunch a long time ago. She does it lavishly: Josif likes it that way. In the living room of my parents' apartment there are some of the best paintings of local contemporary art: the current setting was selected by me a while ago. Some of these paintings make this room one of the key topos of my personal geography: canvas by Cvetko Lainović, or Stanić's "Book Seller", for example ... Dimitrije's "Saint Teresa", or some Parisian drawing by foolish Uroš Toškovitz ... The only wall without pictures is the one with an impressive library leaning against it. Josif and Isidora have always nurtured the cult of a book..." Excerpts from the novel Private Gallery by Balša Brković (continued in comments) Painting by Vojo Stanić
