"All wanderings are wandered off, fatigue fell on the long road, why you look at me this way, day, like I'm someone else? " Vito Nikolić (my translation) About the POET Vito Nikolić (1934-1994) was a famous Montenegrin and Yugoslav poet and journalist, originally from Nikšić where he lived and worked for the longest time. There are autobiographical moments in his poetry, primarily through memories of difficult, traumatic events in his war childhood during WW II (e.g. see Letter to my Teacher on my previous post)... Or, later, the period of his bohemian way of life. There are feelings of deep and refined sadness, but also incredible warmth because of which people loved him so much. "Sve su skitnje odskitane umor pao na drum dugi što me tako gledaš, dane, kao da sam neko drugi?" #poetry #poetrylovers Graffiti with portrait and verses of Vito Nikolić in his beloved "town under Trebjesa" - Nikšić
