Meet Imani, a New York-based Principal Account Manager. In her role, Imani partners with a range of clients to build high-impact digital advertising strategies. Imani’s path to Google was winding: After studying creative writing in both undergrad and grad school, she began her career as a digital marketing manager in the publishing industry. When it came time for a career pivot, Google was a natural choice: “I knew I wanted to stay close to marketing and advertising. As a buyer, Google was always one of my favorite platforms. I also knew a lot about the company and its culture, and I thought it would be a great place to learn and grow as a marketer.” Today, her favorite part of the job is the community. “Everyone I work with is so smart, kind and interesting,” she says.
