Never did the need for climate action feel so urgent. During London's hottest Climate Action Week to date, we brought together a select group of sustainability, finance, and procurement leaders — joined by Olivia Ruggles-Brise (BCD Travel), Ulla Hueppe (Henkel), and Gus Woolley (Bregal Sphere) to explore one of the most pressing questions in corporate sustainability right now: how to move from climate commitment to relevant climate action on the ground. A few things that stayed with us: šŸŒ”ļø Climate risk has moved from a reporting topic to an operational reality — disrupting supply chains, hitting margins, and landing on the CFO's desk. Translating that into financial terms is no longer optional. It's the prerequisite for internal buy-in and meaningful action. āœˆļø For companies with significant Scope 3 exposure, the window to act thoughtfully is narrowing fast. Regulation isn't waiting for procurement cycles to catch up — and with SBTi's updated Net Zero Standard now recognising the role of carbon credits, the case for deploying them as a market-based instrument to derisk supply chains has never been clearer. šŸŒ High-quality nature-based projects are genuinely scarce — and that scarcity is only growing. Companies that have already begun building long-term nature carbon removal strategies and portfolios have a real and compounding advantage. The conversations that continued over lunch were, as always, the best part. Thank you to our panelists for their candour, and to everyone who joined us. A huge thank you to our partner Forvis Mazars for hosting us at their beautiful London office, and to European Biodiversity Coalition and Land Life for co-hosting. #LondonClimateActionWeek #LCAW2026 #NatureBasedSolutions #CarbonRemoval #SupplyChain #Sustainability #NatureFinance
