What happens when the support runs out? Ismat found a lifeline through the Middlesbrough Council neighbourhood service charity, the Hope Foundation, that provided him with the IT skills and connectivity he needed to start college. But with that hub now closing and his data expiring, he faces a digital cliff edge. Ismat’s experience shows that digital inclusion is a continuous necessity for resident wellbeing and integration. We met Ismat as part of successful pilots with Middlesbrough, Barnsley, and Cornwall Councils.
