Closing one chapter by opening another: Buenos Aires as a final studio July 2025 – December 2025 | Buenos Aires, Argentina As I approached the end of my degree, I had the opportunity to complete my final semester abroad at the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, a place where architecture is constantly shaped by the tension between history, density and transformation. During this time, I took courses that helped me both consolidate technical knowledge and expand my critical approachto architecture. In Structural Design 3, I strengthened my understanding of structural systems, focusing on reinforced concrete, foundation design and the logic behind how loads are transferred and grounded. The course approached structure not only as a technical requirement, but as a tool for thinking and designing. At the same time, Theory and Criticism introduced a more reflective layer. Through analytical work, we explored architecture across time, engaging with ideas such as heterochrony, understanding cities like Rome as layered realities where different temporalities coexist and reshape space. In High Complexity Techniques, we worked on large-span structures and advanced systems, studying how architecture operates when pushed to its limits. The course concluded with a final presentation analysing the Centre Pompidou and its radical way of exposing structure and infrastructure. Beyond the academic experience, Buenos Aires itself became a constant source of learning, a city where monumentality, modernity and everyday life overlap, offering insights through observation and movement. This exchange marked not just the end of my undergraduate studies, but a moment of synthesis, bringing together different ways of thinking into a more critical and open approach to architecture.
