Not all work shows up on a job description. 📜 Many women carry an invisible mental load in the workplace: Remembering deadlines, anticipating challenges, supporting colleagues, mentoring team members -- simply being the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. These contributions are essential to successful businesses, yet they often go unnoticed and under-appreciated because they're difficult to measure. Further still: Being the organiser, the mediator, the note-taker, the person who checks in on everyone else's wellbeing or picks up the tasks no one else wants should not automatically fall to women. Creating inclusive workplaces also means recognising when invisible responsibilities are being unevenly distributed. When everyone takes ownership of the work that keeps teams functioning, women have more space to focus on what they were hired to do: contribute ideas, develop their careers, and lead!
