🚰Though 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by water, only 1% is available for human consumption. This #EarthDay, we celebrate the work of Waves For Water, a non-profit tackling water scarcity in developing communities worldwide. Over 14 years, W4W has implemented 155 clean water programmes across 50 countries, benefitting an estimated 4 million people and the Global Shapers Community is grateful to be part of this journey. Over the years, 16 Hubs have completed over 19 projects delivering clean water to 230,000 people. 🚌Most recently, Global Shapers Cartagena-ES Hub and Global Shapers Riohacha Hub joined forces with W4W — with Riohacha Shapers travelling 12 hours by bus to show up.
