Meta is reportedly exploring a multibillion-dollar data-center leasing deal with Anthropic. The talks are described as early-stage, but reports cited by Global Reporters suggest a potential agreement could be worth up to $10 billion over two years. Under the arrangement, Anthropic would lease part of Meta’s AI data-center capacity. For Meta, the deal would point to a possible business line beyond advertising. The company has already committed heavily to AI infrastructure, with expected 2026 capital spending of $125 billion to $145 billion. For Anthropic, the appeal is compute access. As demand for AI training and inference rises, data-center capacity, chips and power have become strategic constraints across the industry.
