One of the biggest advantages of working in a start-up is the opportunity to learn fast and contribute early. Over the past year, we’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Connor Johnson through the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) (AME) in Coventry. What began as an internship quickly evolved into a much bigger contribution across our battery manufacturing and process development activities at Global Nano Network. At GNN, team members are not confined to narrow roles. They get the opportunity to get deep into the woods of the industry, contributing across technical development, demonstrations, events, and collaborative programmes such as the Clean Futures program driven by Connected Places Catapult. Connor embraced the steep learning curve that comes with battery manufacturing and emerging technologies, quickly developing the technical understanding needed to contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects. We were therefore delighted to offer Connor a continued role following the internship, where he continues to support ongoing development work today. We’re proud to have Connor as part of the team and excited to continue building alongside ambitious young engineers helping shape the future of battery manufacturing. #BatteryInnovation #AdvancedManufacturing #EngineeringCareers #EarlyCareers #BatteryTechnology #ManufacturingEngineering #CleanTech #GlobalNanoNetwork
