At Global Hydro, innovation is a continuous process. Through our #HydroLab, we constantly explore new technologies, challenge existing approaches, and test innovative ideas to further improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of hydropower solutions. 💡 After nearly 3.5 years of research and collaboration, the #BilaSurf research project has now been successfully completed. As an industrial partner, we contributed our expertise to investigate how advanced surface treatments and coatings can influence the performance and durability of hydraulic components. A key part of the project was the investigation of a #Riblet coating through model testing, providing valuable insights into the interaction between water flow and surface structures. The knowledge gained through BilaSurf not only expands our expertise in surface optimization - an emerging research field with significant potential for the hydropower industry - but also reinforces our commitment to continuously developing and improving our technologies.
