“Australia is a critical geography for us.” Earlier this year, Glencore Chief Executive Officer Mr Gary Nagle and Chief Financial Officer Mr Steven Kalmin met with key stakeholders across eastern Australia. During the trip, our leaders hosted several town halls with employees where they addressed several topics from the future of the Australian business to recent merger discussions. They also met with investors, financial institutions and politicians. When speaking with their most important stakeholder, our people, Mr Nagle stressed the importance of the Australian operations to the global business. “Australia is one of the three biggest geographies for our business, along with Canada and Switzerland,” Gary said. “We have various opportunities in Australia and we always continue to look at additional development growth, whether we do this organically or through acquisition.”
