The public has spoken, and the public, as ever, is right. ‘Enough of your annoying babble, Clack’, runs the verdict, ‘we want to see more pictures of the hound’. One bows to the popular will. So I give you Boadicea, caught mid-Attitude in the manner of Emma, Lady Hamilton, who scandalised Naples striking classical poses for an appreciative Nelson. My own muse strikes hers for a dropped biscuit, but the aristocratic disdain, the studied tilt of the head, the sense that the viewer is being graciously permitted a glimpse of greatness; all present and correct. I had, if memory serves, several thousand words prepared on ageing biology and the gut microbiome. Boadicea has cast one look at the draft and, not putting it too strongly, cooked its goose. She is quite right. Nobody ever paused their scrolling for a forest plot. Normal babble resumes shortly. Until then, behold the hound.
