The EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) is becoming increasingly important in M&A practice and in public procurement. We are therefore delighted to see the publication of this comprehensive work, which brings together an outstanding group of academics, private practitioners, economists, in-house counsel, and EU officials – including five lawyers from Gleiss Lutz. The book, published by Nomos Verlagsgesellschaft, makes an important contribution to both the academic and practical discussion of the FSR and its implications for businesses, advisors, and enforcers. The book offers, article by article, an in-depth analysis of the case law as well as a concise description of the geopolitical and economic background. What makes it special is the fact that it is a collaborative work by lawyers and economists. It was a Herculean task. The editors, Prof. Dr. marc bungenberg and Dr. Ulrich Soltesz, would therefore like thank all friends and colleagues who have made outstanding contributions to this 800-page work: Jan Bonhage | Dr. Gordon Christian | Christian Dankerl | Dr. Johannes Dittrich | Caspar Ebrecht | Jörn Eickhoff | Alexander Fritzsche | Elżbieta Głowicka | Michael Hahn | Christoph Herrmann, M.A. | Sofie Holtan Lakså | Hubert Klinger | Christian von Köckritz | Dr. Benjamin Linke | Anselm Mattes | Simon A.
