It was a real pleasure to join the Table.Briefings podcast with Alexander Hofmann.   What made it special for me was not only the conversation itself, but also the broader context: being featured in the same episode as federal ministers shows how much the conversation around quantum computing has changed. We are increasingly talking about disruptive potential, no longer just about experiments.   In the podcast, I shared where we currently stand at planqc: We are fully on track, and our hardware projects are progressing well across the board, including our work with DLR and LRZ.   I also spoke about what comes next. So far, many early users have come from public institutions and state-backed initiatives, which is natural for a technology at this stage. But by the end of this decade, error-corrected quantum computers will be an industrial reality. At the same time, the global race is accelerating. The US is investing heavily, China is advancing through national programs, and Europe cannot afford to stand on the sidelines. My view remains clear: the race is still open – and I remain optimistic. Neutral-atom quantum computing has already demonstrated some of the world’s largest qubit arrays. The potential is there, and so is the opportunity.   On a personal note, I find myself enjoying podcasts more and more. They create space for thoughtful discussions, not only about the technology itself, but also about the bigger picture around it.   Many thanks to Alex Hofmann and Table.Briefings for the invitation and the platform.   https://lnkd.in/dS-zYsSt
