Earlier this month, I had the privilege of volunteering at the annual Sierra Leone Arts and Culture Festival in London. Alongside Ruby Palmer, I managed the @young_salone Instagram page; capturing footage, editing and keeping its instagram story active and engaging. It was great to be apart of an amazing team with the common goal of facilitating a memorable experience for visitors and promoting the cultural richness of Sierra Leone. As a British-born Sierra Leonean it was fulfilling to give back to my community and to be a part of such a special event with insightful conversations, great entertainment and much more. A special thanks to Siana B. and Abu B Yillah for the opportunity to participate and for all their hard work in making #SLACfest 2023 as great as it was!
