🇩🇪🇪🇬From Germany to Egypt: Fresh Insights for Dual Education in the Transport and Logistics Sector GIZ Egypt organised a study tour to Germany, through the Employment Promotion Project (EPP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (MoETE) and the Egyptian International Freight Forwarding Association (EIFFA), to support the development of technical and dual education and enhance the skills of professionals in the international transport and logistics sector. The study visit covered a number of topics that strengthen the link between technical education and labor market needs, including: • Port operations and logistics management at the Hamburg Port Authority. • Industry involvement in vocational training through the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) Handelskammer Hamburg. • Dual education models at dual system schools in Hamburg. • Applied learning and skills development at Hamburg University. • Professional training frameworks at the Frankfurt Chamber of Crafts and training centres. • Warehouse automation and supply chain solutions at Dematic in Frankfurt. The insights gained will contribute to improving practical training, strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and the private sector, and preparing more qualified professionals for the international transport and logistics sector.
