Yesterday I had the pleasure of being invited as speaker at the Dual Factor Lip-Based Biometric User Authentication competition at ICIAP 2025, organized by Georgia Fargetta, Alessandro Ortis and Massimo Orazio Spata, Ph.D.. Equally rewarding was receiving the first-place award on behalf of the sAIfer Lab - Joint Lab on Safety and Security of AI team (Doris Dearca, Riccardo Puddu, Alessandro Saba, Gianpaolo Perelli, Simone Maurizio La Cava, Marco Micheletto, Giulia Orrù, and Gian Luca Marcialis) for our work on multimodal lip-and-voice authentication. A special thanks to Stefano Marrone and Georgia for the inspiring discussion: I look forward to future opportunities to continue exploring multimodal visual-audio biometrics together.
