How to find a recruiter in under a minute. Most mid-career professionals don't realize how searchable the hidden job market actually is. You don't have to wait for an InMail. You can walk straight into the conversation. Here's the 3-click method I teach: Step 1: Search with intent, not just keywords Go to LinkedIn's search bar and type your target role with "AND hiring" — like "Project Manager AND hiring" or "HR Business Partner AND hiring." You're not searching for job postings. You're surfacing the people posting about them. Step 2: Filter to Posts only Click "Posts" in the top nav. Now you're seeing real-time activity — hiring managers mentioning open roles, team members flagging growth, recruiters sharing before the listing goes live. Pick 8–10 posts worth engaging with or connecting around. Step 3: Narrow by company Hit "All Filters" → "Author Company" → add the organizations on your target list. Now you're not just finding recruiters. You're finding the right recruiters at the right companies, before the competition does. When you reach out, keep it specific: "Hi [Name], I came across your post about the [Role] opening at [Company]. I'm a [Your background] currently exploring my next move — would love to connect." That's it. No pitch. No resume attached. Just a human moment that opens a door. The job seekers who get traction aren't applying more. They're showing up earlier.
