Now ten weeks into the trial, the photos below show some of the progress made to date at GCM's Mining and Rehabilitation Demonstration Pit (MRDP). Here's what you can see: ✅ The pit excavated to its planned dimensions of 170m × 55m × 22m ✅ Overburden placed in stockpiles ahead of backfilling ✅ Topsoil shaped into perimeter bunds and hydro-mulched ✅ Modular gravity and water separation plant established ✅ Ore horizon reached and ore stockpiled ready for separation The MRDP is helping test and model how the land can be rehabilitated after mining, which is a condition of GCM’s retention licence and a key input into the Fingerboards Environment Effects Statement (EES). We look forward to continuing to welcome our community, government and industry stakeholders to the site as works continue over the coming months.
