Our experts analyzed the development of the German #logistics sector for the year 2026 in Koblenz. Part 3: "Logistics Innovation Made in Germany" In response to the identified challenges, we developped a comprehensive set of ideas to bring #logistics in Germany forward. In the area of #financing, a logistics innovation program with a strictly practice-oriented funding approach is proposed, in which impulses come exclusively from practice and research institutions as well as startups act as partners. Instead of traditional funding, market and capital instruments should be deployed and the special fund should be leveraged through private capital. For building cooperations, we recommend simplification through open source and shared governance, utilization of cross-industry innovation potential, shared resource use in the sense of #Coopetition 2.0. In the area of #implementation in companies, the focus is on modernizing corporate culture with more expertise at decision-making level, awakening hunger for innovation with bottom-up and top-down ideas as well as tolerance for failure, and positioning as an economic sector ready for integration of everyone.
