On Friday, November 7th, I concluded my journey at Alpian Technologies carrying with me the clear understanding that real impact is often built in silence: in thoughtful decisions, in details refined at the last minute, in flows that work — because someone chose to go beyond what was asked. I was responsible for leading product design for payments and investments in the launch — in under a year — of Fideuram Direct, digital bank in Belgium and Luxembourg: a milestone made possible only through collective, high-intensity effort. They chose not to include me among the key contributors — bad, bad — actually, really bad. But I’ll deal with that on my own. And let me tell you this: if today a user can complete a fully digital onboarding, make an instant payment, or set up a recurring investment with a single tap — without hesitation… know that that second of trust was also built in 9 p.m. calls with the people who never give up: web, mobile, and backend developers who held together business logic, system stability, and scalability — every single day. I’m naming them here, one by one — the ones who made this possible: Federico La Penna, Abdul, Marco F., Jonathan Filippini, Simone Pio Caronia, Davide Dessì, Szilard Makai, Davide Strati, James, Carla Severi, Cristina Zucchiatti, Eugene Kuprijevics, Fabio Crucini, Dimithu, Rafael Lapetina, Mauro Caredda, Matteo Tanzi, Giovanni ACCETTA - PMP, Mahdy Parvizykataj, Cristian Elisei Danciu, Cristian Bregant, Cristian Bregant, Angela Contaldo. — because recognition isn’t optional. It’s due. And credit, first and foremost, goes to those who get their hands dirty in the code, the logs, the rollbacks, the production fixes — not for visibility, but because it has to work. And here comes my luck: it wasn’t just about the responsibility I was given, but about building all this alongside extraordinary partners — people with whom collaboration wasn’t just “alignment”, but co-creation. A personal thank you to: 🔹 Elena Girotti Zirotti (BlackRock) — for her professionalism and rigor (and yes: I take her as an example) 🔹 Angelo Rossetti (BlackRock) — for his valuable collaboration and contribution throughout the project 🔹 Mirco Rota and Benoît D. (@ISPWM) — for their strategic guidance and consistent commitment to delivering the product 🔹 Massimo I. and Francesco Lazzarini (Fideuram - Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking) — for their vision and dedication in bringing the project to completion I have closed this chapter not with a forced “see you soon”, but with the calm certainty of someone who gave their all — even when it wasn’t asked. With deep respect for those who walked this path together, even through the toughest moments. And with the quiet confidence that value, sooner or later, reveals itself — not in slides, but in the system actually working. Catch you soon — with updates on my next chapter. And yes… you’ll have to wait a little longer. 😊 #Fintech #DigitalBanking #People #Product
