AI Solution Design & Strategy Director @ Jakala

JAKALA has announced the promotions for this year. Well done to all my colleagues in the AI team who have achieved promotions!! Chiara Albano Sara Bertoldo Francesco Iaria Iacopo Galimberti Chiara Buriol Andrea Lupi Tommaso Meani Samuele Cassinari Gianluca Mango Valentina Protti Nicola Plutino Paolino Santaniello Gabriele Rinaldi Alessio Anghileri Maria Letizia Sciartilli Lucas Lorenzo Mattana Emanuele Maduli Costanza Cantalini Giorgio Caizzi Chiara Bertolo Eugenio Tarolli Bramè Marco Cazzola Marco Trevisan Matteo Lanzillotti Domenico Morabito Mattia Toffolo Rocco Mazzulla But, when it comes to promotions, there is one thing I have noticed during my career that always comes up. The story goes more or less like this: It is the story of Mr.A (a senior consultant) and Mr.B. (a director). It is the end of May: Mr.A is in a meeting and shares his opinion about a topic. Mr.B. brushes the comment off quickly and goes on with the meeting. Fast forward 4 weeks - it is the beginning of July: Mr.A has been promoted to a manager position. Mr.A is in a meeting and shares his opinion about a topic. Mr.B listens carefully and actually takes Mr.A idea and brings it forward. DON'T be like Mr.B. Please. Go beyond job titles, 365 days a year. Please! and, a little foot note / more general consideration: Each review cycle should come with constructive feedback to those who have not achieved promotions, as otherwise this whole mechanism doesn't really make sense!
