Before joining the industry, I thought F&B was simply about serving food and attending to guests. Now, I know there's much more behind the scenes. Here are 5 key Interesting things I've learnt so far: 1๏ธโƒฃ ๐—›๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐˜€ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜ You learn to communicate professionally, handle complaints, interact with different personalities, and confidently express your ideas. 2๏ธโƒฃ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ A positive work environment thrives on respect, structure, and accountability. Being approachable is important, but so is setting standards. 3๏ธโƒฃ ๐—š๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐˜€ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ Great food matters, but how guests are welcomed, treated, and attended to often determines whether they return. 4๏ธโƒฃ ๐—›๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐—น๐˜† ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฐ Inventory management, cost control, timing, customer satisfaction, coordination, and service delivery all work together to create a seamless guest experience. 5๏ธโƒฃ ๐—›๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—ป It's demanding and sometimes challenging, but I genuinely enjoy being part of an industry that allows me to learn, grow, and interact with people every day.
