Neutrality is a big part of why we can operate and push forward mine action and ammunition management in countries and territories all around the world. Our Director, Ambassador Tobias Privitelli participated in panel discussion, "The strategic benefits of Swiss neutrality in today's international system" today. He highlighted how respect for the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence is one of the GICHD’s core working principles. For a humanitarian organisation like the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), neutrality underpins perceived impartiality and trust, enabling: 🔻 Access in conflict zones 🔻 Engagement with all parties We thank organisers, Geneva School of Diplomacy and Geneva Center for Neutrality and the interesting contributors for interesting discussions at this event: Nicolas Ramseier, Nicholas C. Niggli, Jean-Daniel Ruch, Claude BEGLE, and Rakesh Krishnan.
