In the last years several biological drugs for the treatment of psoriasis (Pso) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) have been marketed. Risk of infection is a critical concern for all immunosuppressant drugs and it may different across different approved drugs. However, pivotal RCTs generally compare only two (biological) drugs at once. Therefore, it is urgent to generate RWE on comparative risk of infections especially for all recently marketed biological immunosuppressant drugs approved for Pso/PsA. Using the large scale Italian distributed database network of the VALORE project, in our study we explored the comparative risk of serious infections with multiple biological drugs in Pso/PsA patients by applying target trial emulation approach. Huge thanks to all the couathors, especially Elisabetta Patorno, for the great collaborative efforts!
